Guild Prose Series & Awards

The Guild Complex features Chicago's emerging, mid-career and established prose writers for an evening of reading. From an open submission process, guest curators select the strongest work to be read by the authors themselves at readings throughout the year. Selected pieces are then included in a semi-finalists' pool from which finalists are selected in each genre. From this finalists' pool, the Guild Complex Fiction and Nonfiction Award winners are selected. Each winner receives a $500 prize.
